Christine Williamson named Business Partner of the Year in MCCC's annual awards
TYSONS, VA – November 4, 2020 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, announced that Christine Williamson, CPA, PMP, and a lead partner in the firm’s Government Contracting practice, has been named Business Partner of the Year by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) in its first-ever virtual 2020 Business Awards program.
On October 29, 2020, the Maryland-based MCCC honored organizations and leaders across a variety of industries for their contributions to Montgomery County’s business community. In addition to Williamson, this year’s winners included the US National Institutes of Health and World Central Kitchen. Williamson’s award recognizes her service to advancing the mission of MCCC’s GovConNet Council and promoting the economic impact of the federal government presence, and her excellence in supporting small businesses to accelerate their success as well as advocating on behalf of the federal contracting community for business opportunities.
“I am extremely grateful to MCCC for selecting me as Business Partner of the Year for my work in supporting the work and goals of the government contracting industry,” said Williamson. “I have collaborated with MCCC for a decade as they continue to support the government contracting community, including contractors and veterans.”
Over the years, Williamson has worked with MCCC’s GovConNet and Veterans Procurement programs and given several presentations to MCCC audiences on COVID-19 related funding and impact on government contractors. “It has been equally meaningful to give back to the Montgomery County business community, especially when it comes to providing COVID-19-related guidance on critical tax and business issues. I look forward to many more years of collaboration between CohnReznick and MCCC,” Williamson added.
